Welcome to Vulkos (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Vulkos website, Cloud IDE, simulation platform, and educational content (collectively, the “Service”).
By checking "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email and password). You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or free tier limitations.
The Service, including but not limited to its source code, interface design, “Vulkos” trademarks, logos, graphics, WebAssembly modules, and educational course content, is the exclusive property of Vulkos and its licensors.
You retain ownership of the code, Verilog designs, GDSII files, and other intellectual property you create or upload to the Service (“User Content”).
License to Host: By uploading User Content, you grant Vulkos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., running simulations, storing files in our database, and rendering waveforms).
Certain components of the Service (e.g., Monaco Editor, Surfer, Yosys, OpenLane) are subject to separate open-source licenses. Your use of these components is governed by their respective licenses, available on our Licenses page.
To protect the integrity and proprietary nature of Vulkos, you strictly agree NOT to:
Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service, including our API structures, middleware logic, or WebAssembly (WASM) binaries.
Competitive Analysis: Access the Service in order to build a similar or competitive product or service.
Scraping: Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Service for any purpose without our express written permission.
Benchmarking: Disclose the results of any software benchmarking of the Service without our prior written consent.
Vulkos provides cloud-based simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., OpenLane flows). We reserve the right to limit the amount of storage, compute time, and memory your account uses.
You may not use the Service for crypto-mining, denial-of-service attacks, or any unauthorised high-intensity computing tasks unrelated to legitimate ASIC design.
We reserve the right to terminate any process or simulation that exceeds our time limits or threatens the stability of our infrastructure.
The Service may include AI-assisted coding or chat features (powered by third-party LLMs via OpenRouter or similar).
AI responses are generated probabilistically. We do not guarantee that code or advice generated by the AI is correct, secure, or bug-free.
You should not rely solely on AI output for critical chip design decisions. Always verify generated Verilog/RTL manually.
While we utilise industry-standard storage, Vulkos is not a backup service. You are solely responsible for maintaining local backups of your code and design files.
We reserve the right to delete data from inactive accounts or data that violates these Terms. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from server failure, account termination, or service updates.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vulkos disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Specifically, we do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Vulkos, its affiliates, or their licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, cost of procurement of substitute goods, or costs associated with failed chip fabrication, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within the United Kingdom.
